I can provide any screenshots needed, to help get the questions I have answered. Will the IRS still go over my 1040, to verify if I am owed anything, even if I don't take any action? Is something wrong, do I need to contact anybody? Hoping some tax wizard can shed some light on a few questions I have.Īm I eligible just like others for the tax break? I guess my question is, what would be the reason for the refund amount not going up, since I paid my due taxes on unemployment? I feel like I've done something wrong, to not be eligible for the unemployment tax break. This goes for line 34 and 35a, both are still showing the same refund amount. I also re-ran all of my information on a second account in turbo tax, and the refund still came out to the same original refund amount of $4,195 for federal, even after turbo tax updated their tool for the new tax law for unemployment. Any reason why mine hasn't changed, since I did clearly pay roughly 10% on my unemployment? Per what others have posted, they are able to see a change in the number for their refund. When I go to TT, download my refund on the schedule 1 Line 8, it shows UCE of -5,387. I paid $1,561 in taxes per what my 1099-G states. I was paid $15,587 in unemployment in 2020. Received both federal and state refunds already. I filed February 23rd, Accepted February 24th. I need some type of Tax wizard to help me out.
